Shared adventures

Bucketlist

Travel with room for adventure, play, conversation and the moments that rarely make it into an itinerary. The people matter as much as the place.

The journey, and the people.

Bucketlist brings people together through shared adventures. The destination opens the story. The group helps make it their own.

The question

What makes a journey worth sharing?

There are places you want to see and things you have wanted to try for years. Then there is the experience of doing them with other people: the anticipation, the conversations, the jokes and the unexpected parts of the day.

Bucketlist pays attention to both. Not just where the group goes, but what it feels like to be part of it.

What we designed

Shared journeys with a considered group, a sense of adventure and the practical details handled by the team.

The larger moments matter. So do the quieter ones between them: time to settle in, share a meal, look around and enjoy where you are.

You don't need a project to work on or a breakthrough to report. Come for the adventure, the company and the pleasure of being somewhere new.

A few decisions behind the experience

Treat the group as part of the design.

A route can be beautiful and still feel impersonal. Who comes, how they meet and how a host helps the group settle matter alongside the place. The aim is a shared journey, not a set of people moving through the same bookings.

Make space around the big moments.

More activity is not always more experience. A memorable day needs room to enjoy what is happening rather than immediately preparing for the next stop. Rest, choice and unplanned time belong in the design.

Let the place remain itself.

A destination is more than scenery for the group. Local hosts, people and context should influence the experience. The journey should make room for the place, rather than expecting it to perform a prewritten story.

What the experience is for

Adventure, discovery, play and the pleasure of doing something with good company.

A lasting friendship may come from it. So may a new interest or a story that keeps being told. None of that needs to be prescribed in advance for the journey to have value.

What this taught me

Joy does not need a productivity justification.

An experience can matter without becoming a turning point. Sometimes the most honest description of the outcome is that people had a really good time together. I want the work to leave room for that.

Made with
