A place to find the story underneath.
Story Collective was a five-day storytelling residency for creators, explorers and entrepreneurs. Made with Limitless, it brought people into a shared house to explore the stories they wanted to tell about their work and themselves.
Artist and storyteller Raghava KK led the storytelling work. I helped shape the experience through Experience Co.: the place, the people and the time around the sessions that let a group become comfortable enough to speak honestly.
The question
What becomes possible when someone finds the words for their own story?
The residency was not only about polishing a pitch. Participants tried different ways of expressing a story, tested what felt true and heard how others made sense of their own lives and work. The programme had a clear purpose, but the shared time mattered as much as the teaching.
Editions took place in Coorg, South Goa and Rajasthan. Each setting gave the same question a different room: a coffee estate, an old house near the sea and a hill fort.
What stayed with me
People need more than a prompt to tell a meaningful story. They need time, trust and listeners. Story Collective was a reminder that the design of a residency includes the conversations between the scheduled sessions.
